A native of rural Illinois, Sam headed West after a cup of tea at the University of Southern Illinois to follow his dream of becoming the next Scorcese...or Ted Turner. After transferring to San Francisco State University to join the Coppolla School of Film, he met a young kid from Modesto named Dean Camara...and the rest is history. With Sam's vision, Final Cut went from a company running a pseudo-office in a dining room to where it is today.
Sam runs the day-to-day operations of the company, including supervision of many of our client contracts with city and county entities. |

A 1996 graduate of the Coppolla School of Film at San Francisco State University, Dean brings years and many miles of experience to the Final Cut team. From from pre to post production, Dean has done it all. As production director, Dean molds projects from concept to reality. His Telly and DV Awards prove it.
His list of accolades include working the sidelines for NFL Films at Super Bowl XLI in Miami and more recently HBO's "Hard Knocks", with the Kansas City Chiefs. We can go on all day about the guy, but why not let a professional writer?

A creative at heart, Laura's vision and style fit right into a new medium she decided to try almost 10 years ago. And she hasn't looked back.
As the veteran FCM staffer (she's been here since day one!) brings her own special unique style to every production. As the lead editor and creative producer, many of the works seen by the public go through her capable hands. In fact, she won a Digital Video award in 2005 for our Demo Reel.

Another long time "Final Cutter", Mike decided to spread his wings for a few years before returning to his roots at FCM in 2007.
During that time, Mike had the opportunity to learn the marketing and advertising craft, working with agencies like Community Hospice and PMZ Real Estate (including a stint on the East Coast). Those experiences and others have paid off. Mike develops marketing and advertising plans for companies both large and small, in print and on the web.

An award-winning photographer, Michael joined the Final Cut team in 2006 to try his hand at the moving picture. During that time, he has learned the craft quite capably. Michael's responsibilities include overseeing many Final Cut productions, including MoBand Concert In the Park series every summer, City of Lathrop meetings, and Undiscovered.tv.

The "fawn" of the group, Miguel came to FCM as an intern at the tender age of 17! In that time, he has went from a eager intern, yearning to learn the industry to an eager paid employee!
Along the way, he has learned a thing or two. Many Final Cut projects end up in his capable lap, including TV productions for Stanislaus County and the Modesto Police Department. Miguel also acts as our lead grip of most FCM shoots.

Ed's list of credits are longer than many people's wish lists. From the Grammy's to the Emmy's and everything in between, Ed has probably forgot more about video and sound engineering than most people know.
Ed works as a consultant for many of our projects with city and county municipalities, setting up A/V studios for government and other board meeting. He also acts as our lead sound engineer, a passion of his. |
